Mockery made of the rainbow covenant

Genesis 9: 12 - 17: And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

God gave to Noah the rainbow as a covenant sign that He would not destroy the world by water again. The rainbow and what it represents is therefore a covenant sign to man from God, but the rainbow does not belong to man. God gave this sign in the skies and consecrated it as something of very special meaning; but in these last days, the rainbow has been taken from its sacred purpose and made into a vessel that has been lifted up as a token of defiance against the God of Heaven. This is entirely seen in the modern pride movement with its rainbow colours.

The rainbow is connected to the Throne of God. In the Book of Ezekiel, we read about the Glory of God appearing in the likeness of a rainbow (Ezekiel 1: 26 - 28), and in the Book of Revelation, we read of a rainbow surrounding God’s Throne (Revelation 4: 3). But in these last days, the rainbow sign, the sign of God’s Throne, His sovereignty and authority, is being used to challenge the authority of God, thus we see that the throne of man is at war with the Throne of God.

The rainbow is also connected to judgment because it was born in the wake of the Flood judgment that destroyed the world. It was a sign from the days of Noah of God’s mercy. The pride movement however has taken the sign of God’s mercy and of His desire to hold back the coming of judgment, and used it to challenge God. Unfortunately for them, by their taking the sign of God’s mercy and using it contrary to its original purpose, they then bring themselves and the entire world into judgment again, but this time by fire.
